Making a Feast from Local Farms

This morning to really put a proposal on the an Easter feast and cooking a leg of lamb along with beets, potatoes, onions and other spices going to the local supermarket is not enough. The bed of beets I was thinking of creating with a sprinkle of corn was not enough. With covid restrictions being lifter I decided the best place to go was local farmers who harvest fresh. So, off to the local farm square I went. Unfortunately many of the farmers and sellers I was used to seeing was not there. Covid really hurt a lot of businesses including small farmers. Thankfully there was some great produce to choose from and fresh spices to choose from so I went shopping. Though I found many of the things I was looking for in the square I can’t help but think of Elanor who sold the best squash or Tim who was my go to for fresh greens.
